The waiting has been so hard the last couple weeks, and it is not over yet. I talked to our adoption agency today to make sure that everything was going ok. The TA failure that they are talking about online does not seem to be effecting us. But I learned that they cannot schedule our Consulate Appointment in China before they have our USCIS renewal in hand. Our adoption agency worker was in contact with that office today and asked them to expedite our paperwork. She tells me that she thinks they will get that to us soon. I asked if soon means weeks or days, and she says days. I really hope we will know some more at the end of this week. Our agency will not let us know that we have TA before they have scheduled our Consulate Appointment. So I guess we will have to get ready for some more waiting...
My friend Becky is having a shower for Leah this Thursday. I am looking forward to it and I really appreciate how our friend is so excited to be able to do this for us, and our little girl. It has been so neat to see people responding to the picture of Leah and asking questions about her and adoption. I love that the process we are going through creates "adoption awareness". There are so many orphans out there... Not everyone can adopt, but there are so many different ways to show love for a child that needs a home...
In the meantime Leah is just living her life in the orphanage. We pray that they are taking good care of her. I also hope that she got the package we sent and that someone is taking time to sit down with her and look at the pictures of us and explain who we are. We love you!!!
