One more day until we get Leah!
Kai's idea of a healthy breakfast: bacon and donuts!
Have you seen split pants before, very practical!
The Temple of Heaven was the destination today. We enjoyed watching all the people that were singing and dancing. Lots of people were playing cards or other games. Joy says that retired people like to come here and hang out. We also enjoyed more beautiful architecture and scenery. The weather was sunny, but the air felt crisp. All our warmer clothes are filthy, so I cannot wait to get to Guangzhou and put on capris and a t-shirt.
We went out to eat together as a group tonight at a buffet. This was our last meal together for now. Tomorrow we are meeting in the lobby at 5:30 and we are all flying to the different provinces where our children are at. We are flying to South China, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
We are excited, very nervous and emotional about meeting Leah. If we are nervous, I can only start to imagine how she must feel! Everyone is telling us that it will be very hard, especially the first few days. We will get her at 2:30 pm, that is in the middle of the night American time, night to Monday. We will try to post as soon as we can. But we cannot promise anything since we don't know how it is all going to work out.
Thank you to everyone that has left a comment. We have read all of them and we really appreciate hearing from you. Please pray for us, tomorrow is going to be a wonderful, life changing and probably a very difficult day for us!!!

ReplyDeleteI am getting sooooo excited for you!! You guys look great. So nice to see all your pictures. Keep up the good work and energy! =)

Oh Wow! By my calculations (which could be wrong), it's already 7:30 tomorrow morning for you. That means . . . you're on your way! Praying for you even as I type this. I can't imagine the excitement you feel right now, as you anticipate holding Leah, this treasure from the Lord. And I just wonder if Leah has any idea what a gift God has in store for her. Hug her from all of us! We'll be praying for your earliest moments together . . . and the lifetime that will follow.

Anne Marie, Jeff and Kai,
ReplyDeleteIt has been so great to follow your adventure on this blog. Thank you for letting us share in it with you. We can not even imagine what you are feeling and thinking right now. You are on your way to pick up Leah and we will be praying that God will bless your time together and that the transition will go well. She is lucky to be getting you as a family, she will appreciate it as she grows up.
Kai - you are the dudiest dude in the WHOLE dudy world ! ! ! :-)
Love those split pants...we're all laughing here! I'm glad to see Kai is eating something different than white rice. He seems right at home in China. Many prayers for you and Leah as you meet for the very first time. I can't wait to hear all about it. I'm so excited for you. Thinking and praying for.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings for tomorrow,
Love,
Debbie Lutes and family
We are so happy and excited for you all! We can recall that excited-nervous feeling as we looked forward to meeting our daughters for the first time. It's a strange feeling knowing that you are about to hold in your arms your beautiful little girl whom you have been praying about for so long. Savor every minute, take lots of pictures, and enjoy! This is a beautiful time!! Scott, Amy,

Is it bedtime in China? The kids are up and getting ready for their first day back to school after spring break. We like imagining what is happening there, and I wonder if Leah is being tucked in bed by her new mamma and pappa right now. Sweet dreams, little girl. Blessings to all. Hugs, the Jannis
